Before the world became frozen in time in 2020, we had the great fortune of traveling to Italy in September 2019. Back in 2016, we spent one night in Milan as a stop-over to Venice and always wanted to spend more time there. The first go-round we missed out on finding good steak. Instead, because it was our first time in Italy, we went for pizza in Milan at La Costiera. In Venice, known for seafood, it was some amazing salumi e formaggi at La Bottiglia and pasta at Ristorante Al Cavallo.

The last time around, we were able to enjoy outstanding carpaccio in Milan before taking the train to Lake Como two days later. Lake Como offered some amazing sights and steak! Click the photos below for details...

Milan's canal district is a sight unto itself. We were able to finally visit the neighborhood in June 2022 after most travel restrictions were lifted. The Brisket was a gem of a restaurant in a scenic and relaxing area. Click the photo for the full tasty review.
